LoadingJULY Catch, powered by JULY AI.
JULY Catch watches the names you want across 12 TLDs, predicts the day they release, and registers them the moment you approve. Nothing is bought without your say.
By invitation. No card needed.
Why it exists
An expiring name moves through grace, redemption and pending delete over as long as 80 days. Nobody keeps that in a calendar, so the name slips by.
Verisign releases .com and .net names in one afternoon window (13:30 to 17:00 America/New_York). The day is predictable, the minute is not, and the first registrar to ask wins.
A backorder service catches for many customers at once, and a name more than one of them wants goes to auction. JULY Catch registers only when the registry and Spaceship both say the name is free, at the list price, and only once you have approved it.
How it works
Four steps, and the only one that needs you is the third.
Add a name. JULY Catch reads the registry (RDAP first, WHOIS where a registry has nothing else) every 24 hours, every 6 hours inside 60 days of expiry, every hour in grace and redemption, every 15 minutes in pending delete.
The status codes and the registrar’s own expiry date decide the phase, so a .com pushed a year ahead by auto-renew still shows its true date. Each TLD’s release rule, with its source, gives a predicted day.
On release day it polls every 3 seconds. When the registry says not found and Spaceship says available, you get one alert with the price and an approve link. Nothing is registered until you open it.
Approve, and it registers the name on your Spaceship account for one year (two for .ai, the registry minimum) with auto-renew off and privacy on, re-checking availability, the max price and the daily cap first.
The standard
Security
Your own sign-in with two-factor codes and a lockout after five wrong passwords.
An approval for every purchase: one alert, one link that works once and expires in 24 hours.
A daily spend cap and a max price per name, checked again at the moment you approve.
Secrets only in the host’s store, never in the code, never in a log.
Mail through JULY Send, signed with SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain.
Everything it did, on a timeline you can read and export.
Questions
Twelve today: .com, .net, .org, .ca, .ai, .sh, .io, .co, .app, .dev, .xyz, .me. Eleven answer by RDAP and .co answers by WHOIS.
No. You approve each one. The alert carries the price and an approve link; the link works once and expires in 24 hours. Until you use it, nothing is registered.
Access is by invitation. Spaceship bills the registration at its list price on your own account. There is no JULY fee today.
No. A .ca name goes through CIRA’s weekly to-be-released process and an .ai name goes to auction, so there is no moment to catch. JULY Catch watches them and tells you when they move.
On Railway, North America, with the registries polled directly. Alerts go out by email through JULY Send and by text for the urgent ones.
